Nail Polish Love

I think I have finally found my absolute favourite nail polish!  I'm talking about the formula, not just the colours it comes in!

Sally Hansen Color Therapy With Argon Oil!
I picked up a couple of  colours when the range came out... I have to say i am very impressed with everything about it.
I love the way it goes onto my nails, the brush, and that it seems to last longer than other brands I've tried! I've almost had the current one on my nails for almost a week and it's not even chipped or budged.
Honestly I have been very rough with my nails this past week too.

So the colour I have on at the moment is this gorgeous pale pink which is called

Rosy Quartz

I love this colour because its such a clean, fresh look and it looks so pretty.

Here is how it looks on my nails. Isn't it just a gorgeous pale shade!

This range I have to say feels so good on my nails. My nails actually feel and look healthy and strong. I feel it's due to the Oils, such as Argon, Acai, and Primrose , that are in the formula that gives intense nourishment and moisture to my nails.
I usually use a base coat before I apply colours, but with this formula I don't think you need to, and it's advised not to, so the oils in the polish have a chance to get to the bare nail.
After about 2-3 coats it's best to apply the top coat to give further protection. I really like the top coat, it didn't take too long to dry, same as the colour.
I have to give a tip when applying the colour and top coat... something I have learnt with applying nail polish, take your time! If you take your time and take care when putting on each coat, letting it dry between coats, your polish will last longer! Don't rush!!

I also purchased the cuticle oil too that is so nourishing and smells so nice!

I went and got more colours to add to my collection. So now I have:

Rosy Quartz
Powder Room
Aura'nt You Relaxed
Blushed Petal

You can see these colours or all 14 shades by clicking HERE!!!

I purchased the colours I have plus the top coat and cuticle oil from Priceline here in Australia. Click HERE!!! to see the range and price at Priceline!

I definitely recommend this product and I definitely want to get more shades. I also hope they come out with some more colours in the future!

Playing Fetch!

I decided to bite the bullet and upload my first YouTube video.
It's not featuring me at all ha ha, not that brave yet!!
Our cat plays fetch, and sits when you ask him to! So I thought I'd make that my first video to upload.
Plus it's quite cute and I think perfect for a first video!
I hope to upload more videos, not just of our cats, don't worry I won't be flooding my channel with just cat videos!

So here it is
Hope you enjoy watching it :)

New Direction...

After breakfast on Saturday I decided to take myself off to the beach and capture some photos on my camera.
I am actually really proud of the shots I took, as this time I took my time, I didn't take photos just for the sake of it. I wanted to show how passionate I am about photography, and I hope that came across in these photos.

Took a few more but I've picked out just a few that I wanted to put in this post!

What I got for my Birthday

I thought I'd do a quick post on what I got for my birthday!

As I mentioned in my last post my wonderful husband surprised me with a night at the Stamford Grand hotel at Glenelg for my 40th birthday. We had such a good time and the hotel was lovely.  It was definitely what we both needed, just to relax and enjoy being by the beach. We had dinner at Sammy's on the Marina too which was delicious.
I have to say he wrote the most sweetest thing ever in my birthday card from him too which was so lovely x

My mum and dad gave me some money for my birthday and I'm going to insert a photo here of what I bought with it.

Because I've got a camera where you can change the lens on it, I needed a bit of a bigger camera bag to be able to put not only the camera, charger, but also the lens in too.

Everything fits perfect! It's exactly what I needed!

The girls at work got me a couple of things too which was really nice of them.

I got a delicious bottle of wine, which I shared with hubby that night, which was a Friday night.
And I'm so excited that I got a Endota Spa voucher! So I can put that towards a massage! So excited. I haven't had a massage in years.  And the Gerbera flowers were from one of the girls and her son, which is really cute.
And they all wrote some lovely words in my card too.

I got an extra present from one of the girls from work who is also my good friend who loves lush :D  and she got me a bath bomb which I've had this one before and I really loved it. It's the "Frozen" bath bomb and it smells so good.

So there we have it. That's what I got for my birthday!!

My Birthday!

My birthday was back on the 1st of March and I turned 40. I wanted to share with you how we celebrated my birthday and some of the things I got.

First of all my wonderful husband surprised me with a night away at the Stamford Grand Hotel at Glenelg, which isn't too far from where we live. I have wanted to stay there for quite a while, and especially have a beach view! And that's exactly what he surprised me with, a room with a balcony and beach view.
Our room was so lovely and It was so relaxing to just look out to the ocean and also watch the people go by, even though we were on the 11th floor, quite high up!
I will have to put a photo up of the view during the day and also a sunset shot too. It was absolutely beautiful!

I could easily live in this hotel. Even if it's just for the view from the balcony! How amazing is that sunset!!
During the day we just relaxed, and went for a swim in the hotel pool. I didn't get a photo of the pool as I didn't want to leave my camera on the table where our towels were while we were swimming.

We had a few drinks at a bar close to where we were having dinner, which was nice and we had a few laughs and took some selfies ha ha.

We then had dinner at Sammy's on the Marina, which I can't even explain how delicious their deluxe seafood platter was.. I hope one day we can have that again, because it was AMAZING!!! I never wanted it to end!! To go with the platter we had a delicious bottle of Rosé wine that hubby chose.

So the platter if I can remember had a whole Lobster, whole crab. prawns, scallop's, whiting, squid, oysters, some garlic prawns with some rice. There was a side Greek salad and a side of fries too.
How delicious does all of that look!!!!
There were a few things on that platter that I hadn't really tried before, those were lobster, and raw oysters. I loved every single thing on that platter! Yes even the two oysters that I ate!
After we finished, we were too full for dessert unfortunately.
The lovely waitress that looked after us, she knew it was my 40th birthday as I said we were going all out to celebrate with spoiling ourselves.. she organised a little happy birthday from Sammy's, she could see we were getting up to pay and then leave, but she ushered hubby and I to sit back down and she came out with such a cute surprise, I'll include that photo here.

How cute is that surprise!

I have to say it was just the perfect day ever, and exactly how I wanted to celebrate turning 40! Total relaxation being by the beach and spending some time with my husband.
So I want to thank my wonderful husband for surprising me with this perfect day/evening  and staying in such a lovely hotel. xx

Something I want to include in my blog is food.  Hubby and I really enjoy eating out and discovering new places, or just enjoying good food in places we like to go to. So I will be posting about places we eat at or even something hubby has made, or maybe something I make! Which is kinda funny because I'm not really the cook ha ha.

My hubby used to work as a pastry chef.  He doesn't do that line of work anymore, but he does like to bake desserts for us, for people at work, or to take along to gatherings.

I have to share this photo of a dessert he made for a party we're going to tomorrow. He made both the pudding and the sauce!! The ice cream was bought.

Sticky Toffee Pudding.
It's absolutely delicious!!

What's your favourite dessert??

Loving Lush

I have totally become a lush addict!! I have a good friend to thank for this!! You know who you are!! Thankyou!!!

Because I have sensitive skin (eczema), I was a bit hesitant to try lush products, but after my friend gave me a bath bomb to try.... I became hooked! We did a lush order together and I got a few bath bombs to try.

I won't put them all in this post but I will show one of the ones I got in my order. And then as I try the others I will share them with you also.

So click on the continue reading to see which one of the bath bombs of my order I tried first!!

The one I'm going to share with you is Avobath - bath bomb.

I read on the Lush website that this is a popular one for dry skin sufferers so I was really excited to use it!

Avo was such a nice bath bomb to try. I used it in the evening after a busy day , and it made my skin feel so hydrated.

It contains Avocado which  goes with the name and colour of the bath bomb, and it  also contains olive oil, these both help tackle dry skin and moisturise  which is why my skin felt so hydrated afterwards. Some other ingredients that are included are:  Lemongrass which is uplifting and an antiseptic. Bergamot oils that are cleansing too.

It was so nice to have a soak in the Avobath bomb and it was so good to feel my skin getting hydrated especially as I have eczema break outs with my skin. I definitely would recommend this bath bomb to people who have dry skin, and I will definitely purchase this again.

You can purchase this here on the Lush website : AVO BATH BOMB
